I recently contacted Lora Steele-Hicks to inquire about her ability to design and construct a custom wall piece. Lora responded almost immediately, voicing her willingness and excitement to hear my vision and see about bringing it to life. I explained that I was looking for something original that matched my style and did not feel like it came right off an assembly line. I had zero interest in vinyl or laser-printed letters affixed to a piece of particle board. Lora asked me a series of questions to get an idea of what I was looking for and got straight to work, providing me with periodic checkins and options. She was extremely considerate of my busy schedule and ensured the process, for me, wasn’t at all tedious. Throughout the course of the project, our interactions were just often enough that I felt I could take pride in the overall design, while being able to trust that all the fine details would be safe in Lora’s talented hands. When Lora informed me she had completed the project, I was anxious to see the finished product. I hurried over to see if my vision had in fact become a reality… I was absolutely stunned! It was as through Lora had been able to peek directly into my brain, take a snapshot, touch it up in all the right ways, and put wall hangers on it. Lora had meticulously spaced, hand-lettered and hand-painted every letter onto the most beautiful white-washed Wyoming snow fence. Not only had my vision become a reality, but it was an absolute masterpiece! I am so impressed by Lora’s talent, professionalism and willingness to tackle new medias. I never once heard “no”, but rather, “let’s give it a shot!” If you or your organization is in need of impeccable media-agnostic design work, I would highly recommend giving Dual Rabbit Design a call. You will be so happy you did!
