When you’re young and something bad happens,
it’s easy to get caught up thinking that life will never be good again. When my dad knew I was hurting, he would say “Tomorrow is a new day”. Though I rarely believed my parents’ advice (because I couldn’t picture them at my age or understanding my circumstances), it made me feel better. It helped me visualize a new morning, untainted from whatever had made me feel so sad and helpless. As an adult, I still find these words comforting.
